About Us

A life long journey in all things ‘interior’.

“My interest in interiors, and all that goes into interiors stems back to my childhood. Growing up in 2 different cultures, namely English and Turkish, I was always fascinated by the differences in how interiors were adorned. Exploring the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, wandering flea markets in England, experiencing the sumptuous interiors of the Near East, whilst enjoying the dainty elements of British Country Living, all of these gave me an appreciation for detail, preservation of craftsmanship, and celebrating man made beauty.”

An education in Textile Design, led to the setting up of Out of the Dark, a social enterprise that taught disadvantaged young people dying furniture crafts in High Wycombe, a town with a furniture making heritage of over 500 years.

“Through Out of the Dark I was able to bring together my passion for furniture, fabrics, craftsmanship and collaboration whilst reviving artisan skills. Including retired crafts people, emerging designers, manufacturers, business people and young people created a synergy that truly lifted the soul.”

Lived business experience and further training that resulted in supporting crafts people, designers & manufacturers with their strategy, marketing and communications. Working with a varied selection of local, regional, national and international companies to raise their businesses to another level.

“I have really enjoyed learning and growing together with a great selection of brands, big and small. Bringing the best out in a brand is like seeking out the truth,; once you have discovered the truth, you share it in a better way, which leads to new projects, new collaborations and new alliances.”

A strong passion for giving new life to well made, beautifully crafted furniture, Jade works together with her wide network of artists, designers, makers, crafts people and manufacturers to reimagine furniture, old or new…

  • Palvinder Nangla

    MULTIMEDIA ARTIST

Rooted in mixed-media textiles, Palvinder’s practice utilises embellishment and stitching as tools for exploring the construction of identity. Symbolic of the detritus of society, his materials operate in conversation with his own identity.

The found materials he uses have an origin and lived history, one which will ultimately remain unknown. Fastening ‘rescued’ objects into his work he is engaging with notions of displacement and belonging. Recently shortlisted for the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition, 2025, his work champions the meditative benefits of stitching and its ability to improve dexterity.
